New PC Purchases, backup solutions and other stuff

Laptop or desktop? - If you need or want mobility, then you need a laptop. If you don’t then get a desktop because they start out cheaper and are cheaper to repair and/or upgrade later on.

Operating System - Vista is the new Operating System (OS) and many users are less then happy with this solution. You can still purchase a computer with XP loaded, but you must buy the high end ($) Vista OS that allows you to install XP Professional and upgrade to Vista later.

Hard Drive Size - For the average user, a 120 - 160G Hard Drive will be fine. The price point between an 80G and 120 is minor and we usually suggest going for the large at time of purchase. If you take a lot of pictures or store a lot of documents, you may want to consider something more.

RAM - 1 G for XP and 2 G For Vista OS is the normal recommendation. Again, your needs may be different.

Process or - Dual core processor of 1.8 or better is our recommendation. This will take care of most user needs.

DVD Burner - add a little fun.
